Snow Day HW Part One

Happy snow day, now here is all the work you have to do this week end. There will be two posts today. This one describes the term two research paper which we are starting. The next post will explain exactly what is due by next Tues. Read both posts in their entirety as I just might give you a pop quiz.

Research Paper
For your second research paper of the year you are going to choose an influential event or invention in American history that occurred between 1860-1960. You will be expected to take notes, organize your notes into an outline, turn an outline into a rough draft (with citations), and turn a rough draft into a clean, final draft complete with title page and bibliography.  You will be given some time in class to research your topic, organize your ideas, and write your paper, but you will be expected to continue your research and writing at home as necessary.  At the end of this unit you will have researched and written a 4 page formal research paper.
