We are going to try and have an online discussion for this assignment. I want you to think about the topic and questions that follow and then post your thoughts as comments. This is due Saturday by noon. I'll close comments at that point and begin grading them.

How is our 21st century world like the world of Harrison Bergeron? Consider the following in your discussion. Click the links for background info if something is unfamiliar to you.

• Sports- no keeping score, no cuts, "B" teams
• News Media- it is written at a 7th grade reading level.
• Economics- Occupy Wall St wants the government to tax the rich to give to the middle class.
• School- lack of honor rolls, grade inflation
• TV- the real mental handicap?
