This week in LA we are working on verbs in grammar, specifically action vs. linking verbs. The handout practice sheet is due Thursday; the quiz will be Friday along with the weekly spelling quiz. As for essays, you should be creating a first draft of a free write. The only stipulation about free writes is that they need to be at least 500 words long.
In Reading you will get their first vocab activity packet this Monday to be started in class and finished for homework. The rest of the week will be devoted to Anton Chekhov's The Bet. As always you need to finish 100 pages in your book by Friday and complete the third free reading journal entry.
Lets see how many kids are checking this...there are a couple typos here, find them and bring in the corrections for bonus points, by Wednesday.

I would say an average of three times a week. I am shooting for posting a week overview regularly on Mondays with other posts more sporadic depending on what happens that day in class, topics covered etc.
