Spelling: Roots- phon, port, psych  Words- psychology, psychic, portable, transport, portage, report, telephone, euphony, cacophony, phonograph

Grammar: Subject Complements. Notes today. Packet due Thursday.

Lit Cycle: Start Midsummer Night's Dream. This week- Old, Middle, Modern English lecture. Pre-read vocabactivity. Pyramus and Thysbe myth overview. Then start play.

Plan for the Play-

• Read through selected scenes of MSND a few different ways (to end punctuation, to end line, in parts etc.).
• Scenes skipped we read summaries.
• Cut the scene. Guide students through cutting out sections to streamline the play for performance purposes.
• Choose a different group of actors each scene to put scene on with the rest of the class directing.
• Watch 1-2 different film versions and compare their cut scenes to ours.
• Go to next scene and repeat. Usually takes to 3 ½- 4 weeks.
